Game Changers: Priscilla Shirer

Priscilla Shirer is one of my many mentors through teachings, interviews, and articles.  I love the fact that she makes sure she is known more for being a wife and mother to her 3 boys first before any title or accolade.  She is an example of what is like to work diligently and own the assignment entrusted to each of us as wife, and/or mother.  Her love for God is apparent in how fervent she is in echoing His word and His will.  After her powerful role in the movie "War Room", she is shedding more light in arming us with weapons of warfare to safeguard our marriage and our children.  If you haven't seen the movie, I strongly encourage you to make it your priority because this fight called life is real and you will be equipped to stand your ground in every area of your life.  Get to know Priscilla Shirer in an interview about her book "Resolution for Women" based on the movie Courageous and another great tool for your arsenal is her latest book "Fervent" based on the movie "War Room", a must read.  I am truly thankful for godly women like Priscilla Shirer who knows who she is and whose she is and that's why she is being featured as our Game Changers.

Game Changers: Melissa Kieling, CEO PackIt

I was looking for a more practical lunch bag for my girls and came across PackIt.  You know I had to research the person behind this amazing insulated bag and that's when I read about the story of Melissa Kieling, Founder and CEO of PackIt.  She was at a very low point in her life, divorced and bankrupt with only $13 to her name when she turned her problem of keeping her children lunch from being soggy into a million dollars business.  I can't think of a better Honeycomb Inspiration to feature in today's Game Changers and that is the tenacity and more than conqueror spirit of Melissa Kieling.  Listen more to the video below and be inspired to be yourself a Game Changer!!

Les Brown and Eric Thomas - What's Your Purpose?

Defining our purpose is a task that we all should make a priority because in order to live a meaningful life, we need to know our identity (the who), our purpose (the why), and the various steps to achieve it.  Knowing who we are solidify the truth that we matter and that we belong here on earth.  Knowing why we are gives wings to our dreams and hope to leave an indelible mark in this world.  Most of us are stuck on either finding our identity or finding our purpose and it's a journey that we all have to walk to achieve true success.  Life is too short to go one more day without knowing so make time to discover why you are here and how to serve others with that gift.
According to John C. Maxwell, to find your passion reflect on the following questions:
1) If you inherited so much money that you would never have to work again, what would you do with your time?
2) What would you never give up because you love it so much?
3) What hobbies have you pursued over the years and why?
4)What are you naturally good at, so good that others compliment you?
5) When others consult you for advice, what do they ask you about?
6) What are you curious about?
7) What do you do better than anything else?

Game Changers: Jesus of Nazareth

For the first 18 years of my life, I knew of Jesus but didn't know Him.  I came to the US after I graduated from high school and left all that was familiar to me for the unknown.  Life in the US presented itself with its fair share of challenges and one of those challenges knocked me off my feet.  I hit rock bottom and that's when I remembered the Jesus of my childhood and called on His name.  I called on Him because I realized after much searching that He was the way, the truth and the life and I needed to know Him for myself.  He has left such a legacy of love and truth that has transformed so many generations that I could not deny His impact and the simple fact that He is a true Game Changer.  Today I am who I am because of the transforming power of Jesus and I am honored to count Him as my mentor and my confidant.  I know that I can never repay all He does for me but one thing I will continue to do all my days on this earth is to let Him use me for the glory of His name.
