Game Changers: John Lee Dumas

John Lee Dumas has been inspiring me for the past months when I started listening to his podcast.  The interviews have shifted my perception from the next big idea to my true passion and purpose.  He is so refreshing and full of energy that I look forward to each new podcast.  I have been taking notes and doing some homework while being mentored by his amazing guests.  I am glad I came across "Entrepreneur on Fire" and that's why John Lee Dumas is our Game Changer.

Every time I read Proverbs 31, I wonder how this woman does it all and has it all then I remember the God she faithfully serves and I am inspired over and over again.  I am inspired not to be the perfect wife and mother but to look to the perfect God who takes pleasure in doing good to me, my husband, my children and those around me.  Don't let society make you think that you cannot have it all because you can as long as you put your all in His all!  

Game Changers: Marshawn Evans Daniels

I heard Marshawn Evans Daniels when she was a guest on a podcast and was drawn to her faith-filled message.  She epitomizes the essence of Honeycomb Inspiration motto which is to live, to learn, and to inspire.  Marshawn Daniels is very open about her struggles and how she reinvented herself through them all and that's the reason she is today Game Changers.

John R. W. Stott: Parenting by Design

The essence of grace is balancing truth and love.  A rescuing parent leans heavily on love, but shies away from truth.  A dictating parent leans heavily on truth, but mixes in little love.  A grace-based parent is able to express his love for the child no matter what they say or do, yet is strong enough to deliver appropriate consequences and to allow his child to struggle so that real learning takes place.  It is a difficult balance, and our anxiety or anger often reveals where we fall on the continuum between rescuer and dictator.  Is your love too soft, or your truth too hard?
Striking a balance between truth and love models our heavenly Father's relationship with us.
Parenting by Design Devotional

Parenting is not for the faint of heart and with three children I need all the help I can get to balance truth and love.  My prayer is for my children to fall madly in love with God because they see Him in me.  No matter where we are in our parenting journey, God is willing to help us model Him to our children.  He is the epitome of grace wrapped in truth and love and there is no one more qualified than Him to help where we fall short.  May God strengthen and encourage you each day to stay focused and deliberate in being truthful and loving!
