I am on a path to leave a legacy not a liability for my offspring and for this world. Nobody owes me anything and I am allright with that statement because I owe everything to my Lord and Savior and that's why I do what I do. I want to honor and glorify Him in all I am, all I do, and all I have. Let's be about making an impact on this earth and give our all for His all!!
I met a wonderful young lady not too long ago walking through Ikea and we had a conversation about hair, country of origin, and profession. She is Akua Soadwa and when she announced to me that she is a Dream Director at a local high school, I was intrigued because I had never heard of such a profession. In a nutshell, her job as a Dream Director is to discover the students' dream and help them bring to life through projects that they work on. I was impressed by her heart to inspire young people to not only dream but show them how to make the dream possible. As I research more about what a Dream Director does, I came across this video telling me more about this young lady making an impact in her corner of the world. Summer vacation is here with most children at home and this message is right on time to teach us how to use our time effectively instead of the usual busyness of life. Our effectiveness is in managing our priorities instead of managing time because time waits on no man. Time is such a precious commodity that we need to be deliberate how effectively we spend it. The balancing act consists of taking care of self, spouse, children, then others and in that order because we can only give out of overflow. Everyday life puts a demand on our time and it's our prerogative to be wise and intentional in stopping the busyness and be about our business. The business I refer to is the business of being and doing what we are called to do and to me that's the epitome of success!!
I was introduced to Kayode Fahm when I came across his fitness video titled Kayode Fahm and Dakore Akande present Keep Fit At Home. And for most of you who have been reading this blog, I wrote a post about getting back into my exercise routine titled "Taking Me Back" and I have been using one of Fahm's video to get back into shape. I love Fahm's effective and practical ways to get a total body conditioning in the comfort of your home.
